" Reflecting on an incredible journey across False Bay!
Last year, I joined a relay team for a challenging swim, facing fierce currents that stretched our timing. I found myself as the last swimmer, navigating through darkness that left me grappling with fear for months afterward.
Yet, amid the struggle, there were moments of pure magic. Picture this: in the pitch-black night, the boat's spotlight turned my strokes into cascading bursts of bubbles, reflecting a universe of stars in the water around me. Unbeknownst to my sight, two majestic whales trailed behind, a breathtaking presence unseen. (My fellow swimmers told me after)
Emerging onto land, welcomed by familiar faces, Kate and Nic, brought immense relief after the whirlwind of emotions. But tucked within that turbulent hour, a dream-like world unfolded, a mental dreamscape I cherish, especially joined by Bevan for the final stretch.
